Handmade Jewellery

I wanted to come on here and chat a bit about being handmade. I have just updated the ‘Our Story’ page and it got me thinking about my core values and why I do what I do.

There are a lot of companies out there that sell a wide variety of jewellery that is exactly what the customer wants right at that time - perhaps fashion jewellery, trend jewellery. That’s absolutely fine, no hate here, but when building the foundation for Oblitus Jewellery I really wanted to ensure that the jewellery that I was putting out there to the world was made well and made to last. So the focus here became quality over quantity - there is not as much variety but each piece is made by hand with thought and care.

New collections and new pieces will 100% be launching over the next few years but I want to make sure that these pieces are well made and that they can withstand day to day life so that you won’t be throwing them in the bin when you’re finished with them. I offer a maintenance service here where if you need your Oblitus Jewellery cleaned up or if anything has become faulty in anyway I will repair these for free for you.

Handmade jewellery tells a whole story before it even reaches the customer. You have invested in someones learning and someones passion, not just a piece of jewellery.

I bloody love making jewellery and am super grateful to be able to do it every day. It’s pretty cool.
